Sinoboom Acquires Holland Lift to Expand European AWP Presence

Poznań, Poland – August 2025: At the 2025 Bauma Germany construction equipment exhibition, Chinese aerial work platform (AWP) manufacturer Sinoboom announced the completion of its acquisition of Dutch scissor lift specialist Holland Lift. This move forms a key part of Sinoboom's "Made in Europe, Serving Europe" strategy.

Reviving a Respected Brand

Holland Lift, which entered bankruptcy proceedings in August 2023, faced multiple industry challenges, including rising steel costs, higher operational expenses, post-COVID supply chain disruptions, and competitive pressure from low-cost new entrants. Through its Dutch subsidiary Sinoboom BV, Sinoboom has acquired full ownership of the Holland Lift brand and all associated intellectual property.

The Holland Lift portfolio includes more than 30 models, with working heights ranging from 16 to 34 meters, and several models offering load capacities over 1,000 kg. Renowned for heavy-duty performance, the product range features electric, diesel, and hybrid power options suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Strategic and Technical Upgrades

Sinoboom plans to integrate Holland Lift products into its proprietary operating system platform. Initial prototypes will be produced prior to certification, with the first product scheduled to roll off the line at Sinoboom's Poznań, Poland factory in Q1 2026. Subsequent models will be introduced in phases.

CEO Xu Hongxia commented, "This acquisition strengthens our product diversification and long-term strategy in Europe. Initially focusing production in Poland underscores our commitment to the European market under the 'Made in Europe, Serving Europe' initiative."

Brand Retention and Market Expansion

Under the new agreement, the Holland Lift brand name will be retained, adopting a joint logo: "Holland Lift by Sinoboom." The brand expansion allows Sinoboom to serve a wider global customer base and enter new markets for heavy-duty scissor lifts.

Europe CEO Richard Butler stated, "Sinoboom BV provides sales and support across Europe through both direct and independent dealer networks. This strategic acquisition reinforces our commitment to Europe and strengthens our 'Made in Europe, Serving Europe' approach."
